Comprehensive, in-home behavior consult for 3 cats (new patients)

$690.00

Initial In-Home Consultation

Who This Consultation Is For

This consultation is designed for households with three cats experiencing tension, instability, or complex group dynamics. This includes when cats combine homes, when a new cat is introduced, or when one cat is eliminating outside the litterbox and having tension with feline housemates.

In three-cat homes, social relationships are complex. Conflict may involve subtle stress signals affecting multiple cats, manifesting as elimination outside the litterbox or aggression. Even when tension seems limited to two cats, the third cat influences the overall balance within the home.

We spend up to 2.5–3 hours in your home to allow for a comprehensive assessment of each cat, the household environment, and social interactions, ensuring nothing is overlooked.

What’s Included

  • Comprehensive behavioral histories for all three cats

  • Review of each cat’s medical history and prior diagnostics

  • Physical examinations for each cat (dependent on stress levels)

  • Assessment of interaction patterns

  • Evaluation of your home environment, enrichment strategies, and resource placement

  • Identification of medical contributors to behavior

  • Discussion of medication support when appropriate

  • Structured multicat management or reintroduction protocols

  • Detailed written medical and behavioral plan

  • Four weeks of direct email access to Dr. Liu — a rare opportunity for cat caregivers to receive ongoing, personalized guidance from a feline veterinarian

Please Review Before Booking

If only two cats are directly involved in the concern, the 2-cat consultation may be more appropriate. To ensure the best outcome for your household, please confirm you’re selecting the consultation that reflects your specific concerns and number of cats involved.

Before booking, we recommend reviewing our What to Expect page, FAQ, and Housecall Travel Fees.

For all housecalls, an additional travel fee will be due at the time of the consult based on distance.

If you’re unsure which consultation is right for your cats — or if more than three cats are involved — we’re happy to guide you before booking.

Intercat conflict is complex and while we will likely make progress after the first visit, similar to a medical concern, rechecks help set your cats up for behavioral success. We recommend a virtual follow up visit within 6-8 weeks of the initial consult.
